Crooked Teeth
Misaligned teeth are among the most common reasons adults seek out our El Paso orthodontist. A misaligned tooth can lead to issues chewing and speaking, causing significant pain and discomfort.
Deep Bite (Overbite)
Orthodontists will diagnose you with a deep bite if your top row of teeth excessively overlap your bottom teeth. Usually, the cause of overbite is that your lower jaw is smaller than your upper jaw — severe cases typically cause wear of the surface behind the upper teeth and or wear of the gum area.
Anterior Crossbite
Anterior crossbite, or underbite, occurs when your upper and lower teeth do not align, with the bottom teeth appearing in front of the upper teeth — often leading to difficulty chewing. Typically, genetic flaws are the culprit for cases of crossbite in adults.
Some other frequent orthodontic issues that adults experience include:
Spacing, Wear and Tear, Periodontal Issues, and Protrusion.
